1970's Komatsu Forklift
Own an old 1970's Komatsu Forklift which gets occasional use for short periods of time because of a perennial series of water leaks. Finally decided to get water pump refurbished which after refitting only revealed that with some water pressure the block was cracked along the seam and leaking water.
Friend who owned a motor repair centre suggested that some form of block seal was what they used to try. Went to local motor factors in Canterbury (CMF) and they said try Steel Seal - pointed out it was expensive and I said will this bottle of green liquid really work? Would not give me a guarantee but said they supplied a lot of garages and in over 10 years had never had anyone come back and complain....bought it, followed instructions to the letter and after warm up and 20 minutes of running the flow started to ease and finally stopped. Let it cool down fully and next day fired her up. No leaks and running better than I suspect she has for over 20 years! Still cannot quite believe it works but no hesitation in recommending....just park your cynicism!!
