Steel Seal Review - Rover 414Si
I own a 414si Rover which had suffered a head gasket failure, coolant had started to leak into the oil resulting in a mayo looking film forming on the oil filler cap. After having suffered the same problem on the original engine in the car and now the same problem with the second hand engine I had installed, I was thinking that was it. I had already shelled out £600 and had nothing to show for it apart from making the garage profit. I had used other products, the particle types that are meant to stop the leak but they only worked temporally about a week and that was it. I looked at the internet for a last desperate attempted at seeing if there was anything out there before I scrapped the thing and came across steelseal. It came with good references and been Lab tested so I thought why not try it. I followed the instructions but without taking out the thermostat as it reckoned it didn't need it. Six weeks on and having travelled 1000miles so far the coolant is still at the right level and haven't lost a drop. I am very impressed at the moment with the out come I will certainly recommend this product to anybody with similar problems. Will let you know how the car is doing in six months.
