1953 Ford Popular 103E
SteelSeal is an fantastic product. After rebuilding and refitting the 1172cc flathead engine in my 1953 Ford Popular, I discovered coolant weeping from around the head studs.
The head had been skimmed and a new head gasket fitted, but even with additional torque applied to the head nuts, the leakage continued. Compression readings on all four cylinders were equal. Following discussions with fellow enthusiasts, SteelSeal was the next logical action. The easy to follow directions and application made the job "a doddle". Note: There is no heater or fan on my '53 Ford Pop, so I skipped that part of the instruction, with no ill effects. The leak stopped immediately. I let the engine idle for a good 45 minutes with constant and thorough inspections....Job Done. I recommend SteelSeal without hesitation. I only wish SteelSeal had been around years ago in my younger days....coulda saved myself a packet on repairs. Many thanks.
